End of the Year Tourney

In 2006, we will again have a combined result to determine our League Champions. In order to be in contention for the championship, you must play the summer event and the final event. If you cannot make one or the other, you're still encouraged to attend each and every tournament if your schedule allows for it.

Pairings for Tournaments

For the tournaments that wil be used to determine our League Champions, the pairings will be flighted. Everyone will play in a group with the closest matched handicaps. The only exception will be if you bring a guest. All guests can play with their sponsor.

During other tournaments pairings will be determined by drawing names from a hat or at the discretion of the tournament coordinator.

Speed of Play

During the course of a game, speed of play is extremely important. A golfer should always be ready to play their shot when it is deemed to be there turn. If possible without disrupting or getting in the way of another golfer, always move to your ball as soon as possible. Do not wait for others to hit their shots and then decide it might be time for you to find and prepare to hit your ball. Once you have located your ball and are waiting for others to hit, you should think about your upcoming shot. Club selection, target, wind conditions and so forth can all be determined while waiting for others to hit. If this is done, it should take no more than 30 seconds for you to hit your ball once it becomes your turn. If after reading this you're thinking that this doesn't apply to you, then the safe bet is it does apply to you.

Golf Course Etiquette

The driver of the golf cart is responsible for getting the cart back to the Pro Shop in one piece. Syzygy Golf Club will not be responsible for any member damaging the golf course or golf carts. If you break it, you pay for it.
